The Town of Wasaga Beach opens the holiday season with its Holiday Kickoff Weekend from Friday, Nov. 27, to Sunday, Nov. 29. Most events are centred on the RecPlex and Oakview Woods on Mosley Street.
According to the Town's schedule, Friday evening starts with hot chocolate at 7 p.m. and the tree lighting, with carols, at 7:30 p.m. The holiday market, with more than 50 local vendors, runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the RecPlex. The Santa Claus Parade rolls Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m., and a menorah lighting is set for Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m.
The events are free to attend. Note that the Town's tourism site lists slightly different details for the tree lighting (Saturday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Oakview Woods gazebo) and the market (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), so check the Town's page closer to the date.
