Collingwood's Santa Claus Parade is the centrepiece of the downtown's Christmas season launch. The parade is held after dark so the floats and the downtown holiday lights are on display together.
The parade steps off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, on Hurontario Street. The day also includes the lighting of the town Christmas tree, open houses at downtown merchants, carollers and strolling entertainers. A tree-lighting time had not been posted.
Watching the parade is free. Downtown Collingwood is about 20 minutes from Wasaga Beach; arrive early for parking, since Hurontario Street fills up on parade night.
