Pumpkinferno is an evening display of more than 5,000 illuminated artificial pumpkins set out across the grounds of Discovery Harbour, the historic naval site on Penetanguishene's waterfront. The run began at the start of October and wraps up on Halloween.

Walk-through nights run Thursday to Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m., and admission is $15 per person, tax included. On Wednesday, October 21 and 28, there is a drive-through version with 30-minute time slots starting at 7, 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m.; it costs $13 per person and must be booked and paid in advance. A Mini-Monster Bash with a kids' costume contest is planned for October 30.

Overflow parking is at Huronia Park on Fox Street, a short walk away. Penetanguishene is about 50 minutes' drive from Wasaga Beach.
